The Virginia Tractor Service Tech Training Program is a sponsorship and contract agreement supported by John Deere Company and Wake Technical Community College. Virginia Tractor strives for excellence in all areas and offers a mutually benefiting education and employment opportunity for selected candidates.
Our goal is to meet, interview and select multiple, highly skilled, and motivated high school graduates each year to enter this course of study and support the future of Virginia Tractor. Each candidate will represent John Deere and Virginia Tractor in the best light with a two-year employment commitment, post-graduation. Upon completion, candidates will become a “John Deere Certified Service Technician”. This program is designed for young adults who wish to pursue a future in supporting the technology, repair, maintenance, and upkeep of John Deere agricultural, compact, and heavy equipment—cultivating a firm foundation of lifelong John Deere experiences.
Each year we work with select high schools, supplying opportunities to promote the technical competence and professional skillsets young adults deserve and John Deere equipment owners require. This two-year program is studied in the classroom, campus laboratory/workshop, and Virginia Tractor dealership. Tuition reimbursement up to 100% is available, based on final grade point average per each semester.
