RE: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Prevention

Since early January, Virginia Tractor’s leadership team has been tracking the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation daily.  However, with the disease now established in the United States and developing in surrounding communities, we are escalating our company response level.  At Virginia Tractor, our first objective is to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and our customers.

We will continue to monitor COVID-19 situation and take appropriate measures to help keep our communities and employees safe.  Below are preventive steps established within our facilities to ensure a safe working environment for our customers and employees:

Protecting Our Employees and Customers

As our employees interact with customers and the general public, we have taken steps to limit the exposure to the virus. Our number one focus at each location is cleaning and disinfecting in high traffic areas. We have enhanced our facilities cleaning and disinfecting procedures in all high-touch areas, including:

  • Bathrooms
  • Company Vehicles
  • All door handles and counter tops are wiped down hourly
  • Work stations are wiped down daily with disinfectant
  • Continuous education to employees on hygiene
  •  All employees are provided with wipes or hand sanitizer
  • Employees are washing or sanitizing their hands after every interaction with customers or employees.
  • Employees are washing and sanitizing their hands as often as possible after any and all cash handling.

In addition, we have restricted travel, limited meetings and reinforced safe behaviors to our salesmen and employees that are visiting customer locations. Employees who feel ill have been told not to report to work and must provide documentation from a doctor before returning to our facility. Our leadership team has set protocols and procedures, in place if quarantine was to become necessary, based on government and health agencies recommendations.

Visiting Customer Locations

Technicians and Salesmen will adhere to the following procedures:

  • Virginia Tractor employees will adhere to customer guidelines and procedures that have been put in place.
  • All employees are provided with wipes or hand sanitizer
  • Employees are washing or sanitizing their hands after every interaction with customers or employees.
  • Technicians will disinfect all equipment before performing requested services.

As always thank you for your partnership and loyalty with Virginia Tractor.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact my team and I at moreinfo@virginiatractor.com or call (540) 661-5100.

Sincerely,

Edward McCoy
